Carraig Briste

Carraig Briste & Killegney Early Years is an award‑winning early childhood provider situated in the Wexford countryside near Enniscorthy. The centre operates across two rural sites – Carraig Briste in Templescoby and Killegney in Clonroche – and is expanding with a new state‑of‑the‑art facility in Oulart, slated to open in September 2026. The settings are set on a family farm, allowing children to spend extensive time outdoors, engaging with nature, mud, gardens, and the surrounding woodland as part of their daily learning experience. The philosophy blends Montessori, Reggio Emilia, nature pedagogy and Forest School principles, creating a child‑centred, natural environment where play and exploration are the primary vehicles for learning. The curriculum follows the Irish Early Childhood Curriculum Framework, aiming to nurture each child’s holistic development at their own pace while supporting families who work or study. High‑quality, qualified staff provide a safe, warm, homely atmosphere that encourages creativity, independence and a lifelong love of learning.
