Breffni Childcare

Breffni Childcare operates within the Breffni Family Resource Centre, offering a dedicated childcare service for families in the Carrick on Shannon area. The centre provides a safe, nurturing environment where young children can engage in early childhood care and education activities. Emphasis is placed on creating a warm, homely atmosphere that supports the developmental needs of babies and toddlers, encouraging social interaction, play‑based learning, and the development of foundational skills. Beyond its core childcare provision, the centre runs a range of community‑focused programmes, including a Youth Café, various fundraising initiatives, and support groups such as the Men’s Group, Women’s Group, Saol Nua, and the Carrick on Shannon Baby & Toddler Group. These activities foster community cohesion and offer families additional resources and social opportunities. The facility includes dedicated spaces for play, learning, and group gatherings, reflecting a holistic approach that values both child development and community engagement.
