About
Naíonra Ultain is based in Muineachán, Co. Monaghan, alongside Gaelscoil Ultain, an Irish-medium primary school for boys and girls that runs from Junior Infants to Rang 6. The school recorded 380 pupils on its roll in September 2025 and moved into a building constructed for it at the former army barracks site on the Armagh Road. Irish is the language of the setting, and the culture attached to it forms part of what children are taught. Places are for children aged 2 to 6 years, on either a full day or sessional basis.
