The school follows a child‑centred, holistic approach that aims to nurture each pupil’s talents, self‑esteem and resilience while upholding its Catholic ethos. With an enrolment of just over 200 pupils, the school provides eight mainstream classes from Junior Infants to Sixth Class together with three special‑education classes, ensuring inclusive provision for a diverse learner community. The learning environment is modern and well‑resourced. The current building, opened in 1998, offers spacious shared areas, a large school yard and a fully equipped playground featuring swings, slides, climbing frames and a moving bridge. Classrooms are fitted with interactive whiteboards, sound‑field systems and a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) room, supported by a fleet of iPads, Chromebooks and PCs. A broad curriculum is delivered in line with the Irish Primary School Curriculum, enriched by programmes such as Jolly Phonics, PM Reading, Abair Liom for Gaeilge, and a range of extracurricular clubs including music, sports, debating and environmental initiatives. The school places strong emphasis on the social, personal and health education of its pupils, promoting wellbeing through programmes like the Incredible Years Behaviour Programme and restorative practice. Partnerships with parents, the wider community and the Board of Management are central to school life, fostering a supportive atmosphere where children can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
