The school states that it welcomes all faiths and traditions, and describes itself as inclusive. Classes run from junior and senior infants through to sixth class, with a graduation marking the end of sixth class. Gaelic football features in school life, with teams competing in Cumann na mBunscol fixtures against other Cavan schools, and a girls team winning a division one title. Other activities recorded include class school tours and an active and wellbeing week. The school sets out its aim as providing an atmosphere in which each child feels valued, in surroundings that are both stimulating and secure.
