About

Boolavogue National School is a mainstream, co‑educational primary school serving the historic rural community of Boolavogue and its surrounding areas. As a Roman Catholic school under the patronage of the Bishop of Ferns, it promotes a Catholic ethos while respecting children of all faiths and none. The school’s vision centres on a caring, safe and inclusive environment where each pupil can develop to their full potential through a child‑centred, holistic approach. The curriculum is designed to nurture spiritual, moral, cultural, intellectual, physical and emotional growth. Emphasis is placed on well‑rounded development, encouraging kindness, resilience, creativity and social cooperation. A dedicated team of teachers works closely with the Board of Management, Parents Association and the wider community to provide a supportive learning atmosphere and to prepare children for further education and lifelong learning. Extracurricular activities, community events and regular parent‑school meetings reinforce the school’s commitment to partnership and community spirit.
