Established in September 2001, the centre follows the Maria Montessori Method, promoting holistic development across social, emotional, physical, intellectual and cultural domains. The curriculum is designed to nurture each child’s individuality, offering a range of activities that align with their interests and abilities, and placing strong emphasis on psychological well‑being, independence and inclusive social interaction. The school is registered under the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Scheme, providing two years of free entitlement for eligible children, with additional subsidies available for those who do not qualify for the free provision. Suantraí Montessori is inspected regularly by TUSLA and the Department of Education, with reports accessible online, ensuring compliance with national pre‑school standards. Core learning areas include numeracy and literacy, science, spoken Irish, history, geography, music, cooking, life skills, dancing, and aerobics & yoga, all delivered within a Montessori‑prepared environment. Operating a half‑day programme from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, the centre offers a structured yet flexible setting for young children, combining academic foundations with creative and physical activities to support well‑rounded growth.
