Realtai Beaga Montessori School

Réaltaí Beaga Montessori School is situated in Templeogue, Dublin 6W, and provides early years education for children from birth to six years. The centre operates under the ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) scheme, offering two three‑hour sessions each day – a morning slot from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and an afternoon slot from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm – five days a week throughout a 38‑week year. Classes are limited to a maximum of 22 children with a 7:3:1 adult‑to‑child ratio, ensuring personalised attention and a safe, warm environment. The school follows the national Aistear curriculum, integrating the four themes of identity & belonging, wellbeing, communication & exploration, and thinking & inquiry into daily activities. Emphasis is placed on Irish‑language immersion, holistic development and creative play, with a strong outdoor component that treats the garden as an extension of the classroom. Montessori principles underpin the approach, supporting children’s natural curiosity, fine and gross motor skill development, and independent learning.
