Glor na nOg

Glór Na nÓg is a community‑based childcare centre situated in Killeen, County Mayo, offering a safe, happy and stimulating environment for children aged eighteen months to twelve years. Established in 2008, the centre works closely with parents and families to support each child’s development, aiming to foster confidence, independence and a strong sense of belonging. The philosophy centres on respect for each child’s identity and encourages social, emotional and cognitive growth through a balanced programme of free play, songs, stories, outdoor activities and structured learning. The facility provides a range of age‑appropriate rooms and equipment, including a fully equipped toddler room and two preschool rooms, each led by qualified early years practitioners. Services extend beyond traditional day‑care to include a government‑funded ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) programme for children from 2 years 8 months, a school‑aged after‑school club with homework support and varied activities, and a breakfast club offering nutritious morning meals. Flexible full‑day and half‑day options are available, with extended hours from 8:00 am to 5:45 pm to accommodate families’ needs.
