Réalta Beaga Pre-School

Réalta Beaga Pre‑School is situated in Templeogue, Dublin 6W, and provides early childhood education through full immersion in the Irish language. The centre participates in the national ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) scheme, offering two three‑hour sessions each day – a morning slot from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and an afternoon slot from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm, five days a week for 38 weeks of the year. Classes are limited to a maximum of 22 children with an adult‑to‑child ratio of 7.3 : 1, ensuring personalised attention and a safe, warm environment for each child. The curriculum follows Aistear, Ireland’s national framework for children from birth to six years, covering the four themes of Identity & Well‑being, Communication & Exploration, and Thinking & Learning. Emphasis is placed on holistic development – physical, social and intellectual – through creative play, outdoor exploration in a garden that extends the classroom, and a strong focus on Irish language acquisition. The centre aims to nurture each child’s natural curiosity, fostering confidence and a love of learning in a supportive, community‑oriented setting.
