Lyre Community Pre-School Playgroup CLG

Lyre Community Preschool Playgroup CLG first opened in 2001 and is managed by a voluntary committee. It sits within the grounds of Scoil Fhursa National School in Lyre village, roughly 6 km from Banteer in North Cork. The sessional service runs Monday to Friday from 09:15 to 12:15 over 38 weeks of the year under the ECCE scheme. A school-age service, introduced in September 2021, operates from 07:30 to 09:00 in the morning and 14:00 to 17:30 in the afternoon. The building includes a reception area with office space, a children's sanitary area, a spacious playroom and a partially covered outdoor play area at the front.
