First Steps

First Steps in Cloughjordan, Co. Tipperary, is a community-run service for children aged 1 to 6, with a school age care service also available for children aged 4 to 12. It opens Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00, for 49 weeks of the year. A daily ECCE-funded session runs 09:00 to 12:00 for 38 weeks of the year. The service occupies a converted and extended two-storey detached building in the town, with three activity rooms, an enclosed outdoor play area, and a modular building in the outdoor area fitted out as a sensory room and sheltered play space. A kitchen, staff room, and office are on the ground floor.
