About

Grange Post Primary School is a co‑educational secondary school situated in the picturesque village of Grange, North Sligo. The school delivers a holistic education that balances academic rigour with personal development, underpinned by values of respect, justice and self‑esteem. A strong tradition of academic achievement is evident in consistently high Junior Certificate, Transition Year and Leaving Certificate results, with many pupils progressing to third‑level study, apprenticeships or further training. The curriculum is broad and balanced, offering the Junior Cycle, an optional Transition Year (introduced in 2013‑14), the traditional Leaving Certificate and the Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme. A wide range of extra‑curricular activities, including sport, music, drama, enterprise, coding and creative arts, complement classroom learning and foster confidence, teamwork and creativity. Pastoral care, guidance counselling and anti‑bullying initiatives ensure a safe, inclusive environment for all students, including those with additional needs. Facilities support modern learning and wellbeing: specialist classrooms, up‑to‑date IT resources, a gym, an astro‑turf pitch, an athletics track, a library/reading room and dedicated spaces for after‑school study and homework clubs. Strong parental involvement and a collaborative partnership between staff, students and families further enrich the school community.
