About

Creagh College is a co-educational secondary school in Gorey, County Wexford, run under the Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board. The school first opened its doors to a small group of students in 2011 and has since grown into one of the larger schools in the region. Its curriculum includes newer Leaving Certificate subjects such as Physical Education, Computer Science, and Politics and Society, alongside the established Junior Cycle, Transition Year, Senior Cycle and Leaving Certificate Applied programmes. The school uses a data-driven tool called the Athena Tracker to monitor student progress. The software analyses each student's past results and academic performance to identify a baseline potential for each subject. Teachers are alerted when a pupil falls below that potential and may need extra support, and also when a student is performing above expectations. Beyond the classroom, the school offers activities including basketball, rugby, soccer, badminton, athletics, equestrian and golf, as well as a Culture Club and an LGBTQ+ Allies Group.
