About

Castlebar Educate Together National School is a publicly funded primary school that operates under the patronage of Educate Together. The school is committed to providing an inclusive, child‑centred education where every pupil, regardless of belief, race, ethnicity, gender, language or ability, can thrive academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Learning is delivered within a democratic framework that actively involves parents in decision‑making while respecting the professional expertise of the teaching staff. The curriculum is designed to explore a wide range of abilities and opportunities, encouraging children to develop confidence, curiosity and a respect for diverse cultures and traditions. The school’s facilities support a holistic educational experience, including a partnership with Imagination Station to deliver a comprehensive after‑school programme that offers additional academic support and enrichment activities. A dedicated provision for children with additional educational needs is available during a two‑week period each July. The school’s ethos is reflected in its commitment to equality, parental rights and state recognition, ensuring that all children receive a high standard of education in a safe and welcoming environment.
