History
St. Cuthbert's Church in Boyerstown was built in 1833 by Parish Priest Fr. Joseph Kennedy. The original National School building, now the Munchkins Montessori School, was built in 1887, though records show a school existed close to the present site dating back to the late 1850s. The first part of the present school building was constructed in 1954, with the hall sectioned into two classrooms. Four mainstream classrooms were added in the late 1970s. The school pitch, Páirc na nÓg, was officially opened in 2016. The Rainbow Room special class opened in January 2023, and a two classroom extension was built in 2026.
