Tubbercurry Family & Childcare Centre

Tubbercurry Family & Childcare Centre serves the Tubbercurry community by offering a range of family‑focused programmes and support services. The centre hosts the FEAD (Foodbank for the Elderly and Disabled) programme, a variety of walking groups, and the Simon Housing Support Service, all aimed at enhancing wellbeing for children, parents and wider families. Regular community events such as the “Old Fair Day” activity and a new parenting programme for teenagers demonstrate the centre’s commitment to fostering social inclusion and inter‑generational learning. In addition to its childcare provision, the centre provides a men’s shed on Monday mornings, offering a welcoming space for men to develop skills, engage in crafts, gardening, cookery and social interaction. This initiative reflects the centre’s broader vision of creating a supportive hub where families and community members can access practical resources, health‑promoting activities and opportunities for personal development. Overall, Tubbercurry Family & Childcare Centre positions itself as a multifaceted community hub, delivering early years care alongside a suite of ancillary programmes that promote health, education and social cohesion for the local population.
