The Farmyard Kindergarten

The Farmyard Kindergarten runs two preschools in Cork City, one on the grounds of the Quaker Meeting House in Summerhill South and one on Strawberry Hill. Both offer morning and afternoon ECCE sessions for children aged two-and-a-half to five. The Quaker House Kindergarten opens 09:00 to 12:30 and 13:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. The Strawberry Hill Kindergarten opens 09:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 16:00, also Monday to Friday. The Quaker House premises has two care rooms, the Cabin room in a prefabricated structure and the Quaker room in the main building, with a large outdoor play area shared by both rooms. The setting follows a Steiner-oriented approach and marks seasonal festivals through the year.
