Sunflowers Childcare

Tralee based Sunflowers Childcare has run since 2006 and takes children from 3 months of age. Full day, part time and sessional places are provided for children up to 6 years. Rooms are divided by age, covering babies, wobblers, toddlers and a preschool Montessori class. Montessori teaching methods are used in that class, and the curriculum follows the Aistear and Síolta frameworks. Meals are cooked on the premises. The building stands next to two schools and has its own drop off zone. Each child is assigned a key worker who acts as the main point of contact for parents. Parents also receive newsletters, are invited to parents' evenings with visiting speakers, and get weekly updates through a private WhatsApp group. Kate Guerin owns the service and Davena O'Neill manages it.
