Stepping Stones Childcare

Stepping Stones Early Learning Centre (ELC) presents itself as a nurturing “garden of child culture” where the primary aim is to foster a child’s intrinsic love of learning, discovery, independence and a sense of community. The centre treats each child like a seed, providing a well‑prepared environment that encourages holistic development. Classrooms are organised and equipped with a wide range of high‑quality Montessori‑style, hands‑on materials, allowing children to explore their interests and develop confidence at their own pace. The facility also boasts an expansive outdoor area designed as a neighbourhood of fun and challenge, offering varied apparatuses that promote active play, nature‑based learning and physical development. Stepping Stones has been recognised with multiple national awards, including an “All‑Round Excellent” report from the Department of Education and the highest grade in the Síolta Quality Assurance Programme, underscoring its commitment to high standards in early childhood care and education. Their curriculum is centred on play‑based and active learning, with a focus on holistic development, school readiness and learning through nature and outdoor play. The centre provides a safe, inclusive environment that supports children from infancy through the preschool years, preparing them for the transition to formal schooling.
