Naíonra Mhuire Chill Chartha

On the outskirts of Kilcar, a Gaeltacht village in southwest Co. Donegal, Naíonra Mhuire Chill Chartha is a sessional pre-school for children aged 2 to 6 years. It participates in the ECCE scheme and delivers its programme using a play-based approach, with Irish used as the working language. The service is housed within Scoil Chartha Naofa, a local primary school, occupying one large room to the rear of the building. Sanitary facilities are available en-suite for children, with adult facilities adjacent. Children also have access to a sensory room in the main school and a small enclosed outdoor play area.
