Naíonra an Daingin

Áiseanna na hÓige is a Family Support Centre and Early Years Facility serving West Kerry, operating from Ard na Gréine, an Daingean. The centre is managed by a voluntary committee and is registered as a charitable company. It provides a TUSLA‑registered, not‑for‑profit school‑aged children service that includes transport and a balanced daily meal, which is extended to all children attending the building. In addition to childcare, the centre offers family support services, employing a part‑time family support worker and delivering formal and informal assistance through the MEITHEAL framework. Within the centre, Naíonra an Daingin is run by Comhar Naíonraí na Gaeltacht and delivers a play‑based programme entirely through Irish. The environment is described as safe, welcoming, happy and supportive, aiming to foster early language development and social skills in a Gaeltacht setting. The centre also collaborates with Mol An Óige, which provides a range of structured sessions, including full‑day care, breakfast club, morning and afternoon sessions, and Montessori activities, catering for children of various ages and offering free pre‑school (ECCE) places.
