Donard/Glen Daycare

Donard/Glen Daycare is a non-profit community facility on the outskirts of Donard village, Co. Wicklow, first established in 2002. It provides full day, part time and sessional care for children aged 1 to 6 years, and also runs an afterschool facility and a breakfast club. The service participates in the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) scheme and operates a sessional service for 38 weeks of the year. The purpose-built premises contain four care rooms, three used for preschool children, plus a sleep room, kitchen, dining area, staff room, manager's office and laundry room. A large, secure outdoor area to the side of the building is used daily. Ten adults are employed, including the manager, administration staff and a chef.
