Bubbles Montessori

Set at 18 Leargan on the Western Distributor Road in Knocknacarra, Bubbles Montessori takes children aged 3 to 6 years and is accredited by AMI and the Irish Montessori Education Board. Morning sessions run from 09:00 to 12:30, with an afternoon programme that follows the same method and adds dance, drama, baking, and arts and crafts. Two classrooms hold up to 40 registered places. Classroom areas include sensorial and practical life work, mathematics, language, botany and biology, and geography and culture. An enclosed play area suits this age group and includes a large walk-in sandpit. Meals come from an outside catering firm, Moon and Spoon, with breakfast, a mid-morning fruit snack, dinner and afternoon tea served at set times. Food allergies and special diets are catered for. A separate Bubbles crèche for children from 6 months to 3 years operates on Ballymoneen Road.
