Askea Community Childcare Centre

Askea Community Childcare Centre provides a nurturing environment for children aged one to twelve or thirteen years, offering a comprehensive range of childcare services that support the whole child's growth and development. The centre delivers full‑day and part‑time care, as well as sessional provision that includes a free pre‑school year, ensuring flexibility for families with varying needs. Breakfast club services are available with safe drop‑off to the Askea boys’ and girls’ schools, and an after‑school club offers collection from both schools, facilitating a seamless transition between home, school and childcare. The facility boasts a purpose‑built outdoor play area where children can engage in active, play‑based learning, and meals are freshly prepared on‑site using non‑processed ingredients, promoting healthy eating habits. Operating from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday‑Thursday and 7:30 am to 5:00 pm on Fridays, the centre remains open throughout the year apart from bank holidays and a designated week at Christmas and Easter. In 2014 the centre achieved a Level 4 rating in the Síolta Quality Awareness Process, reflecting its commitment to high standards of early childhood education and care.
