About
Faugher National School is a vibrant primary school that prides itself on providing a welcoming, fun and happy environment where children are encouraged to reach their fullest potential. The school offers a rich and varied learning experience across both the Junior and Senior Rooms, with a strong emphasis on child‑centred teaching, flexible groupings and differentiated instruction that allow each pupil to work at their own pace. Learning is supported by a range of ICT resources, including laptops, an interactive whiteboard, a digital camera, a camcorder and iPads, enabling students to develop digital skills from an early age and to enhance classroom projects both in‑school and at home. The Junior Room is designed to be a nurturing space with colourful bulletin boards that showcase student work and curriculum themes, fostering a sense of identity and pride. The Senior Classroom continues this approach, featuring working walls that display factual information and student‑generated content, promoting collaborative learning through group work and peer‑teaching. Both rooms are well equipped with modern technology and encourage pupils to take on responsibilities such as classroom monitoring and library organisation, reinforcing independence and community spirit. Extra‑curricular achievements in sports, quizzes and community events further enrich the school experience.
