Scoil Mhuire, Belcruit is a small rural primary school situated in the townland of Belcruit, Parish of Kincasslagh, County Donegal. With a two‑teacher staffing model, the school provides a close‑knit learning environment where children are encouraged to develop academically, spiritually, physically, socially and emotionally. The school’s vision emphasises a community of pupils, parents, teachers and management working together to achieve an exemplary educational establishment that supports learners of all abilities, races and creeds. A caring and loving atmosphere underpins the curriculum, fostering confidence and a love of learning in each child. The school places a strong emphasis on holistic development through a wide range of extracurricular activities. Environmental stewardship is a core value, demonstrated by the attainment of two Green Flags for waste management and energy preservation, with a third flag for water preservation in progress. Sporting provision includes Gaelic football, rounders, athletics, basketball and rugby, while the creative arts are celebrated through regular musical productions such as “Cinderella and Rockerfella”, “Alice the Musical” and “Panto Pandemonium”. The school’s facilities comprise the original 1964 building, an additional classroom added in 1990, and access to outdoor spaces for sport and play, supporting a well‑rounded educational experience.
