Science and technology are prominent, taking in VEX Robotics, BeeBots, Lego workshops, science fairs and STEM workshops with Midlands Science, along with an Irish peatlands workshop. Enterprise days lead pupils into county enterprise awards. Physical activity is organised under the Active School Flag, with hurling, camogie, Gaelic football, badminton, athletics, cross country, yoga and pilates. Environmental work runs through the Green Schools themes of biodiversity and of litter and waste, with tree planting, wildflowers and Incredible Edibles growing. Irish dancing takes pupils to Féile Rince Tulach Mhór, and there is a school show staged with Coláiste Naomh Cormac. The school marks St Brigid's Day with cross making, prepares pupils for First Holy Communion and Confirmation, and raises funds for a hospice and for causes in Kenya. Local history is studied as part of the curriculum.
