A student council operates in the school. The school states its motto as "Mol an Óige agus tiocfaidh sí".
History
The school opened in 1955 in a building of two classrooms, each heated by an open fire lit each day. A third classroom followed during the 1990s as pupil numbers grew. An extension in 2006 added two further large classrooms, along with toilets, a store and office space. Further building work finished in 2017, providing another classroom and an office.
