About

Donore National School is a Catholic primary school situated on Donore Road in County Meath. Operating under the patronage of the Bishop of Meath, the school’s ethos is rooted in Christian values, emphasising faith, integrity and compassion. The curriculum is designed to develop pupils holistically – academically, physically, socially and spiritually – with wellbeing and respect at the centre of everyday life. A nurturing, inclusive environment encourages children to become confident, responsible learners who are prepared for lifelong learning. The school places a strong emphasis on community partnership. The Board of Management, staff, parents, guardians and the active Parents’ Association collaborate to provide a supportive setting for each child. Extracurricular provision includes a range of after‑school activities and a fundraising initiative for a new running track, aimed at enhancing both physical health and mental wellbeing. Regular events such as the Daily Mile, sacraments celebrations and school tours foster a vibrant, engaged school community.
