Established in 1963 under the trusteeship of the Edmund Rice Schools Trust, the school now educates approximately 745 pupils and employs a staff of more than 70. Its ethos is built around a holistic education that seeks to balance rigorous academic expectations with a wide‑ranging co‑ and extra‑curricular programme, encouraging students to develop intellectually, socially and spiritually. The campus is a bright, modern facility opened in March 2014, with a purpose‑built theatre added in 2019. State‑of‑the‑art classrooms, science labs and dedicated spaces support a comprehensive curriculum that includes Junior Cycle, Transition Year and Senior Cycle programmes. A strong sporting tradition is evident through competitive hurling, rugby and a growing hockey programme, while a vibrant student life is fostered by a Student Council, Parent Council and Past Pupil Union. Career guidance, pastoral care and a range of clubs further enrich the student experience, preparing graduates for life beyond school.
