It holds a Gold Award for 2026, a Badge of Excellence Award for 2023 and 2021, and a Science and Maths Excellence Award for 2019. A pre-school and after-school service operates in the school's GP room, with care available from 8:00am, an infant hour from 2:05pm to 3:05pm, and after-school care until 6:00pm. Some subjects are taught through Irish. The school recently amalgamated with its neighbours in Rathnamagh, which nearly doubled staffing numbers.
