The party
The Forest Club runs children's birthday parties in a private woodland within Belmont Demesne, near Bray and Greystones. Parties begin with a short walk to a base camp with seating, a tarpaulin cover, hand washing facilities, swings and a hammock. Activities include den building, nature trails, fire lighting with flint, and marshmallow toasting. Hotdogs, popcorn and orange cordial are provided, and parents supply the birthday cake. The venue is suitable for children aged four and over. Drop-off and collection are the norm, though parents of the birthday child may stay. A staff member is at the barrier gate for ten minutes at drop-off and collection to avoid the parking fee.
