Kids Kendo at Ballybough Community Youth & Sports Centre

What children do

Children learn the Japanese martial art of kendo, studying etiquette, basic terminology in Japanese, how to hold and use a shinai, footwork drills, and basic attacks and responses. Partner practice develops cooperation and teamwork, all while engaging in a fun fitness activity.
